Refugee resources for faith communities
’COMMITMENT TO WELCOME’ PROJECT
We are seeking to help all of the faith groups in Brighton and Hove on their journey to becoming certified Places of Sanctuary under the national City of Sanctuary program. There are three simple elements for each congregation to evidence:
- LEARN – Educate your congregation on welcoming refugees and asylum seekers.
- EMBED – Ensure the learning becomes part of the DNA of your place of worship.
- SHARE – Go public with highlighting initiatives, fundraising, and lobbying work.
KEY DATES FOR 2025
- Racial Justice Sunday - 9th February 2025.
- Refugee Week - June 16-22nd 2025
