We’re delighted at this meeting to welcome Suleman Nagdi MBE, Deputy Lieutenant of Leicestershire, an interfaith colleague of our very own Canon Andrew Wingate. An ex-Justice of the Peace Suleman has been a resident of Leicestershire for over 36 years. For much of this time he has devoted his work to community cohesion as a volunteer and community advocate. Suleman is a pioneer and a leader who inspires all around him – his ability to bond diverse communities here and abroad has received wide recognition.

We also welcome John Redding, Third Sector Manager, Communities, Equality & Third Sector Team, Brighton & Hove City Council – John will speak about the Third Sector Investment Programme and future commissioning. We will also hear from Martha Spencer, Community Safety Case Worker, Brighton & Hove City Council, Martha will speak about the Community Safety Casework Team’s remit and the Faith Hate Focus Group.

We look forward to welcoming you on Thursday to update you about the work BHFA are currently engaged in and more importantly to hearing about your faith community’s news and views regarding the experience of people of faith in our city!
